Day 11 - Wednesday 11th May 2005Bit of shopping around Knightsbridge and Chelsea today. Dropped into Harrods as one does while in Knightsbridge, the "Egyptian" escalators were spectacular, as were the price at the various shops in the area. We had lunch at another one of the "sausage machine" pubs, that are all through London, then went for a walk up in Hyde Park. They have just re-opened the "Princess Di Memorial" a water feature in the park. Quite a pleasant spot. Tonight was entertainment night, we saw the Mel Brookes musical, "The Producers", at the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane. It was wonderful. Day 12 - Thursday 12th May 2005This morning Cameron took me on the "London Vespa Tour". This is a must do in London. It involves riding around on the pillion of Cameron's Vespa, viewing London's famous attractions. I only had the one hour tour, but it was quite exhilarating zipping through the thick London traffic past the occasional bus crash and the famous buildings and gardens. In the afternoon, Judy and I went off to the city. Saw a great old steam rain while waiting at the Clapham Junction station. We toured the Covent Garden precinct and had lunch at an open air cafe. Lots of buskers and thick with tourists. Visited some shops looking for some fleeces, no luck but one shop did have an indoor ice climbing wall.
