Wednesday - 20th SeptemberUp earlyish, weather much nicer. Packed up and departed Broken Hill and headed west for the Flinders Ranges we had planned an overnight stop but made good time and pushed on to Rawnsley Park Station. Arrived mid afternoon and camped in an unpowered site for the night. Surrounding spectacular under the shadow of Rawnsley Bluff. Got stung $1.43/litre for ULP at the BP station on way into Hawker. Mobil garage further in was selling it at $1.28. Thursday - 21st SeptemberMoved our rig down to a very nice powered site backing onto the dry river bed. Plenty of room but somewhat dusty. After setting up we drove back to Hawker for some supplies then drove up to Wilpena NP for a look around. Lots of emus with chicks along road side and occasional roos. Overnight the wind sprung up rattling the awning, so I got up about 2am and rolled it up. I could hear a family in tents a few sites up hammering in more tent pegs.
