Day 41 - Friday 10th June 2005We took an island cruise today. While waiting for the boat we took a short walk round the town, visited the remembrance hall for those lost during the troubles in the early 90s, then watched some workman roughening up the smooth cobbles with special hammers. We caught the good ship Tran at 11am and headed out into the deep blue sea. Wind was quite chilly so Jude and I sat sheltered by the bow and soaked up the sun. A boat pulled up along side and a bag of freshly caught fish was handed aboard for our lunch. We visited three islands of varying sizes and wandered about a bit. Met a great Parisian couple, Leonard and Beatrice, and had a lot of fun with them. Our fish lunch was cooked on board and consumed, along with copious amounts of wine from a wicker wrapped flagon, as we sailed between two of the islands. We arrived back at Dubrovnik at about 6:30. We had dinner on the wharf then bought a couple of books to keep us going for the remainder of the trip.
