Tuesday - 14th AugustJust sat around most of the day reading, had a great seafood platter for diner at Mick’s in Kurumba. Crab, prawns, barra, oysters etc. etc Wednesday - 15th AugustPacked up an left Kurumba and headed back down the highway to Normanton. Checked into the Normanton Tourist Park, opposite the Purple Pub, and got a nice shady site. We had a quick look around town including a nice lunch at the Albion Hotel then a look at some of the sites, including the replica of the very large (8.63metre) croc shot in the area 50 years ago, before settling in round the very impressive pool to escape the afternoon heat. Thursday 16th AugustChecked out the rest of the sites around Normanton. In the afternoon we took a ride on the GulfLander out to Critters Camp for a barbeque beside the Norman River. A marvellous old train.
