Thursday - 9th AugustA quiet day today. We mainly just veged out. In the afternoon we went to the Barramundi Discovery Centre where a group of volunteers are running a barramundi breeding program to maintain fish stocks. We had a guided tour of the facility and fed some of the huge breeding barramundi. Friday - 10th AugustToday we joined a group of our neighbours at the park, Eddy and Penny, Ray and Collene, Steve and Shirl, and hired a party boat from Gedee’s Getaway. Ray skippered us along the immense Norman River, past the Karumba Township, the wreck, various creeks all the way up to “The Powerlines”. It was a fantastic day, we caught lots of fish albeit catfish, saw some crocs, one which was immense, saw lots of birds and had a great sausage sizzle for lunch. Altogether a fantastic day and very cheap. We left around 9 and arrived back about 5 and it only cost $17.50 each. Great value and highly recommended. Had “barra and chips” from Ash’s for tea.
