Monday - 25th SeptemberIt was a long drive today. We headed north through Bunyeroo Gorge with a diversion through Brachina Gorge before doubling back to Blinman. Then off through the Parachilna Gorge across the plains to the little whistle stop town of Parachilna with its famous Prairie Hotel. We stopped for lunch there and sampled their "Feral Food" offerings, camel, emu, goat and roo; all very tasty if somewhat expensive. The art exhibition on the walls of the hotel was worth a browse. After lunch we headed up the highway to Leigh Creek for some shopping and a haircut for me before heading off to view the coal fields and the gigantic mining equipment. On the way back we passed the huge coal train passing through Copley. Our return was via the very picturesque Moralan Scenic Drive
